Hello, I am Mark Wheatley aka Marko a visual artist based in West Sussex, UK.

I would describe my practice as a kind of intuitive logic. The starting point is drawing, without preconceived ideas, shapes and forms emerge through a playful and instinctive process.

I don’t think of the works I create in terms of abstract or figurative, they fall somewhere in between, generating their own enigmatic personalities. I am interested in how dialogues emerge between shapes and the spaces they inhabit, this is where the work embodies a certain energy and power.
