I would describe my work as a kind of funky abstraction. I am interested in how shapes relate to one another and somehow generate their own enigmatic personalities. There’s often a cartoony quality to the forms I create, they seem to exist independently in their own worlds, floating, singular and free from everyday burdens.
I have a particular fascination with the screen printing process, exploring hand cut paper stencils to generate the imagery. I feel this method of working is quite spontaneous and produces bold, flat and vibrant forms giving the work a punchy energy and visual directness.
A selection of my limited edition prints are available from my online shop.
